Spectrum Borland Sabre

Gisborne driver Craig Brogan has acquired one of the factory run 2009 Spectrum 011d Formula Ford racing cars for his 2010 Victorian State Racing campaign. Having raced a Mygale during 2009, Brogan tested the Spectrum at Winton Raceway prior to Christmas and was able to significantly improve his previous best time at the track.

“I was quite surprised at how much easier it was to achieve the times in the Spectrum,” said Craig. “The first thing that I noticed was how well the car turned in; it is much more responsive than what I was used to. The Spectrum is also much more comfortable to drive physically; everything is just easier in it,” he added.

Craig also found the Borland Racing Developments team of great benefit to his performance. “Everything about the BRD operation is very impressive. From making a seat and fitting me to the car, to analysing the data after each session at Winton, their professionalism and performance was first rate,” Craig commented.

BRD welcomes Craig to the factory team and looks forward to working with him aboard the National Diesel backed Spectrum 011d.
